About Dalzora
A considered
journal for
unmanned flight.
Dalzora is an independent publication covering the aircraft, systems, and people shaping the next era of unmanned aviation. We report with curiosity, care, and a healthy respect for the details — because the future of flight deserves better than headlines.
How we started
From a
desk of notes
to a journal.
Dalzora began as a private notebook — a place to collect observations from the edge of unmanned aviation: hydrogen fuel cells achieving six-hour flights, autonomous inspection fleets operating in twenty-five-meter winds, delivery drones navigating forests without GPS.
The field had no shortage of press releases, but very few publications willing to sit with the technical reality. Most coverage stopped at "drone flies for a long time." We wanted to explain why that mattered, what made it possible, and what comes next.
So we opened the notebook to the world. Dalzora now publishes considered dispatches — each one researched, contextualized, and written for people who want to understand the technology, not just hear about it. We are independent, reader-supported, and not in a hurry.
What we believe
Four principles
that shape
our work.
Editorial independence
No sponsor influences what we cover or how we cover it. Our editorial decisions are made solely by our team, based on what matters to the unmanned flight community.
Accuracy first
We prioritize getting the technical details right over being first to publish. When we make a mistake, we correct it transparently and promptly.
Depth over noise
We publish fewer stories than most outlets, but each one goes deeper. We believe our readers come to Dalzora for understanding, not headlines.
Respect for the field
Unmanned aviation is serious work. We approach it with the respect it deserves — for the engineers, the regulators, and the operators who make it real.
What we cover
Research areas
in the field.
We organize our reporting across 43 research areas, each representing a distinct facet of the unmanned aviation ecosystem.
Who we are
A small team.
A wide sky.
Dalzora is built by a small editorial team with backgrounds in aerospace engineering, science journalism, and product design. We work remotely across three time zones, connected by a shared belief that the unmanned flight community deserves better reporting.
